Since last few decades, the matter of empowerment of women has become a burning issue for all over the world and India isn’t an exception to it. In the United Nations, Many agencies emphasized that gender issue is to be given utmost priority in their reports. It’s said that women now don’t have to wait for any more for equality.
Discrimination against women and difference between men and women is been old issues in all over the world, therefore, women’s quest for equality with man becomes a universal phenomenon
There is always a new rising voice of woman’s for demanded equality with men no matter if it’s education, employment or inheritance even there are a voice that shouting for justice about discrimination against woman’s in matter of marriage, politics and recently in the field of religion also to serve as cleric (in Hinduism and Islam). They want to have the same strategies of change which men folk have had over the centuries such as equal pay for equal work or equal rights in society for themselves. The formation of many women’s associations and launching of movements was born from their quest for equality and it’s continuously giving birth even more.
EMPOWERMENT In the 20th century, the position and status of women have risen rapidly in the entire world…Incredible, isn’t it? For a long time the entire world of women’s in India was the four walls of their household their whole world and desires was surrounded by cages given a name of house they were depended on men folk for the decision regarding their own lives as well as for every task they did and even worst in 18th and 19th centuries in India and elsewhere in the world they were treated like ‘objects’ that can be bought and sold and it was very shameful thing to do with a woman no matter what the situation was also it’s become misbehave with a woman become a black spot on entire men folk.
A long struggle over a century finally paid off and has brought women the property rights, voting rights, and equality in civil rights they also got their equality somehow in matters of marriage and employment.. It’s true the problem is not fully resolved but it will because the society and the government putting their hard effort to bring a revolution. Now Indian women had not to struggle for their voting rights as we find in the other countries.
